Bonde Do Role's debut cd "With Lasers" is a disappointment. Mainly because it lacks good songs, and tracks like "Funk Da Esfiha", "Jabuticaba", "Caldinho" are missing! Guess they could not get the samples cleared.

Otra vez, Colombia. But this time music from way back on Discos Fuentes (1960-1976). Brought to you by the magnificent record label Soundway.
"The artist or label that owns this song has not approved full-length streaming for our users. This is a 30 second preview." Almost a good reason to NOT buy this wonderful record.

A young Pete Doherty queues for an Oasis album and makes two brilliant remarks about Oasis.
"I subscribe to the Umberto Eco view that Noel is a poet and Liam is a town crier"
If there is one word to sum Oasis up, what would that be?
"Trousers!"

In 2005 I came across the album "Le Fil" by a - to me - unknown French girl, Camille. I loved every inch of it, just like most French albums of that period by Carla Bruni, Emilie Simon and Pauline Croze.
Pleasant surprise when Al Usher recently dropped a remix of "Ta Douleur".

Ellen Allien about her mix "Fabric 34": "I wanted to do an analogue mix, by hand. I used my favourite records of last year and the newest ones. I like analogue! And I like to hear how one has to manipulate the mix until it’s tight."
Ellen Allien has created a pretty chilled out mix that is timeless with a lot of big names (Cobblestone Jazz, Larry Heard, Roman Flügel, Thom Yorke) and very little Bpitch Control. She finishes of with a song from Apparat's new album "Walls".

"An End Has A Start" is the second album by British indie band Editors. It will be released on the June 25, 2007. However, at the end of May 2007, the album begun to be shared amongst fans, which led to an imminent leak of the album over a month before its official release date. Yeah, what's new?
Best songs on the album: "Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors"" and "The Racing Rats"?

Brazil is very, very big so it's impossible to cover all the wonderful music that comes from this Latin American country. There are so many different genres, just to name but a few: samba, bossa nova, baile funk, forro. Therefor let's start with Brazil's biggest city, São Paulo.
Nu Braz is a project by singer/musician/DJ Emanuele Cucchi. The name comes from Braz, the area of São Paulo with the largest Italian community. Emanuele is the artistic director for various clubs in Milan and São Paulo and for some important Italian fashion designers like Armani and Rocco Barocco. Nu Braz’s musical influences come from jazz, Italian 60’s soundtracks and Nu Bossa.
Cansei De Ser Sexy released the best pop album of last year and their stage shows are energetic to say the least. With song titles like "Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above", "Meeting Paris Hilton" and a first EP called "Em Rotterdam Já É Uma Febre" they are cooler than cool. The new video "Alcohol" is just an excuse to bring them to the spotlight again.
Directed by Jared Eberhardt.
